Chipolopolo Name 41-Man Squad: Daka, Fashion Sakala Lead the Charge Against Bafana
Zambia national team coach Moses Sichone has named a 41-man provisional squad for the upcoming international friendlies against South Africa and Burundi during the November FIFA window.
The Chipolopolo boss has rewarded several in-form local league players with maiden call-ups, including Eliya Mandanji of Zanaco, Solomon Mpasela from FC Muza, Yoram Chanda of Kabwe Warriors, and Mutondo Stars defender Aaron Musonda.
Sichone’s provisional list features a balanced blend of experienced internationals and promising debutants. The squad will be trimmed after a short three-day training camp before the team departs for South Africa. Zambia will first face Bafana Bafana on Saturday, 15 November, at Nelson Mandela Stadium in Port Elizabeth, before travelling to Bujumbura for their second friendly against Burundi on 18 November 2025.
The matches form part of Zambia’s preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025, where they are drawn in Group A alongside Morocco, Mali, and Comoros.
