AmaZulu strengthen midfield with signing of Langelihle Mhlongo

AmaZulu FC have added attacking midfielder Langelihle Mhlongo to their squad for the remainder of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season. The 24-year-old joins Usuthu on a free transfer after leaving provincial rivals Richards Bay FC, where he spent four seasons.

Mhlongo, who came through amateur sides Magic Future Stars and Ethekwini Coastal before turning professional, was officially introduced by club president Sandile Zungu during the AmaZulu Fan Experience event. He will wear the number 3 jersey.

In their announcement, AmaZulu described the KwaMashu-born player as an exciting addition with strong local roots.

Mhlongo said joining the club he supported growing up was a proud moment: “I’m honoured to represent AmaZulu. I’m ready to give everything and help the team achieve its goals. I ask the supporters to stand behind me.”

He also expressed gratitude to his former club and looked forward to working under coach Arthur Zwane and integrating with his new teammates.
