Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze has backed his current squad to push on in the second half of the Betway Premiership, insisting January reinforcements are not essential.
Amakhosi host Golden Arrows at FNB Stadium on Tuesday night (19:30), with Kaze saying the AFCON break helped the group gel after a slow start following major squad changes at the beginning of the season.
Chiefs remain largely fit, though Khanyisa Mayo is sidelined with a hamstring injury, while Inacio Miguel is a late fitness test. Long-term absentee Given Msimango has returned to full training, boosting defensive options. Confirmed absentees are Sibongiseni Mthethwa, George Matlou and Bradley Cross.
Expected Kaizer Chiefs XI vs Golden Arrows
Full line-up: Brandon Petesen, Dillan Solomons, Inacio Miguel, Aden McCarthy, Paseka Mako, Lebohang Maboe, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Gaston Sirino, Khanyisa Mayo, Asanele Velebayi, Etiosa Ighodaro.
Chiefs resume league action in fourth place on 24 points and will be looking to set the tone for the run-in with a strong home performance.
